Doctoral students of ”Nicolae Testemitanu” University – winners of The Government Excellence Scholarship

Three doctoral students of the Doctoral School in the field of Medical Sciences within Nicolae Testemitanu State University of Medicine and Pharmacy of the Republic of Moldova will receive the Excellence Scholarship of the Government of the Republic of Moldova for 2026. The list of doctoral students designated as winners following the dossier competition was published by the Ministry of Education and Research of the Republic of Moldova.

Thus, the young researchers who will benefit from the Government Excellence Scholarship are:

Dorin Jelaga – 2nd year, doctoral program in Psychiatry and Narcology;

Radislav Cosulean – 3rd year, doctoral program in Psychiatry and Narcology;

Felicia Darii – 4th year, doctoral program in Medical Biochemistry.

Starting with the second year of studies, the government excellence scholarship is awarded annually to doctoral students enrolled in full-time and part-time studies, who have fully completed the advanced training and scientific research program established by the doctoral supervisor, have accumulated the number of credits provided for in the Doctoral School Curriculum, have achieved outstanding academic performance and actively participate in the social life of the institution.

The scholarship competition for doctoral students is part of the government program to stimulate the performance of young researchers. By granting these scholarships, the executive aims to streamline the process of training scientific staff, as well as to motivate young researchers to engage in research and innovation activity.

It should be noted that the Doctoral School in Medical Sciences is the entity responsible for organizing higher doctoral studies, based on Government Decision No. 816 of November 11, 2015, within the Consortium formed by Nicolae Testemitanu State University of Medicine and Pharmacy and the doctoral institutions organizing medical studies: the National Center for Public Health, the Mother and Child Institute, Diomid Gherman Institute of Neurology and Neurosurgery, the Institute of Cardiology, Chiril Draganiuc Institute of Phthisiopneumology, the Oncology Institute and Timofei Mosneaga Republican Clinical Hospital.
