Dr. Fahim Atamni – Visiting Professor of „Nicolae Testemitanu” State University of Medicine and Pharmacy

The Senate of Nicolae Testemitanu State University of Medicine and Pharmacy awarded the honorary title of Visiting Professor to Dr. Fahim Atamni, dentist, specialist in oral surgery in Israel and graduate of our university’s Postdoctoral Program.

The diploma confirming the high title was handed to him on June 9 by the rector of Nicolae Testemitanu University, Professor Emil Ceban, during a ceremony organized within the Stomatology Section of the Balkan Medical Week, the 37th edition.

Professor Ceban informed the community about Dr. Fahim Atamni's substantial support offered to the University in the training of young specialists in an important field - oral-maxillo-facial surgery and oral implantology, and in carrying out scientific research that addresses the most urgent and topical problems in the field of dentistry. "We highly appreciate Mr. Atamni's contribution to the development of collaborative and friendly relations between our university and Israeli medical institutions and are convinced that his outstanding personality and vast knowledge will bring added value to our academic community," the rector noted.

For his part, Dr. Fahim Atamni acknowledged that he was honored by the high title bestowed on him by Nicolae Testemitanu University: "I express my openness to strengthen the collaboration with this prestigious university and to share my professional and scientific experience with current and future specialists."

Between the years 2005-2017, Dr. Fahim Atamni completed his postdoctoral studies at our university under the leadership of the late Professor Valentin Topalo, Habilitated Doctor of Medical Sciences, former head of Arsenie Gutan Department of Oral-Maxillo-Facial Surgery and Oral Implantology.

Dr. Atamni is a member of several international associations, including: the European Association for Osseointegration; Israel Association of Oral Implantology, German Association of Oral Surgery; member and lecturer of the Arab Dentists’ Association in Israel, etc.
