A delegation from Transilvania University of Brasov, Romania, was on a working visit to Nicolae Testemitanu State University of Medicine and Pharmacy of the Republic of Moldova on Thursday, September 2, in order to communicate and identify the future directions for collaboration. During this effective meeting, held jointly with members of the administrative team of Nicolae Testemitanu University, both sides agreed on aspects of cooperation in the field of exchange of experience on the development of curricula, textbooks and transfer of good practices in education and medical research.
Liliana Rogozea, Vice-Rector for Public Relations, has requested the support of Nicolae Testemitanu University as regards the experience gained during the accreditation of the institution and the implementation of Nursing and Public Health study programs. ”I think we could establish cooperation ties in the nursing area for professors and students. We want to identify other areas of common interest. It is easier to benefit from others' experience, to build on an already existing structure and we want to learn from everyone's experience”, stressed the Romanian vice-rector.
In his turn, Rector Emil Ceban has expressed his openness to share with colleagues from Brașov the experience related to the accreditation at institutional level and at the level of study programs. At the same time, the Rector thanked for the availability of Romanian colleagues to ensure the transfer of good practices to our university with a view to establishing a palliative care center and developing a new specialty – Kinesiotherapy. ”We believe that a kinesiotherapist should have a broad range of knowledge in medicine in order to be able to work in this particular field”, mentioned Professor Emil Ceban.
In the end, the Romanian side extended an invitation to their Moldovan colleagues to visit Transilvania University of Brasov.
Moreover, during their visit to our university, the guests visited the Preventive Medicine Department and the Hygiene, Epidemiology, Microbiology and Immunology disciplines.
