The 2022-2023 new doctoral students welcome reunion

The Administration of the Doctoral School in Health Sciences (DSHS) of Nicolae Testemitanu  State University of Medicine and Pharmacy has summoned the doctoral students who passed the admission competition for higher doctoral studies (cycle III) in the academic year 2022-2023, in order to initiate them into the study and research activity. The welcome reunion took place on 8 November 2022 and was attended by academician Stanislav Groppa, Vice-Rector for Research, university professor Lilian Saptefrați, the Director of DSMS, scientific coordinators, scientific and didactic staff and first-year doctoral students.

Academician Stanislav Groppa has noted the importance of scientific research at this stage of studies, specifying that, with the founding of the University's National Institute for Health and Medical Research, new research directions will be implemented that will offer the possibility of expanding the scope of scientific​​ skills development. The Vice-Rector expressed his conviction that the new doctoral students would become the authors of great achievements in the history of Nicolae Testemitanu University, for this purpose urging them to read as much as possible during this period, to document themselves and be inspired by completed doctoral theses and to publish, in turn, their works in the Journal of Health Sciences of Moldova and in impact factor international journals.

Professor Lilian Saptefrati, the DSHS director, informed the young researchers and scientific coordinators about the activity of the Doctoral School in Health Sciences, the individual plan of doctoral studies, structured by years, the advanced training program and the terms for completing all stages of doctoral studies, expressing the openness  of the academic and scientific community to support doctoral students in their research activity.

In the academic year 2022-2023, 76 persons were admitted to higher doctoral studies (cycle III), of which 70 with funding from the state budget and 6 with the payment of a tuition fee on a contract basis. The young researchers will start their studies on 14 November 2022.
