Dr. Daniela Elena Costea from the University of Bergen – visiting professor of ”Nicolae Testemitanu” University

The Senate of Nicolae Testemitanu State University of Medicine and Pharmacy of the Republic of Moldova awarded the honorary title of Visiting Professor to Mrs. Daniela Elena Costea, Doctor of Medical Sciences, professor, specialist in tumor pathologies at the Department of Clinical Medicine of the University of Bergen, Norway. 

The high title was awarded by the University rector Emil Ceban, who highlighted the substantial support of Prof. Daniela Elena Costea offered to the University through the project Collaboration in education and research in oral pathology between Norway, Moldova, Belarus and Armenia, under which the Leica DМ2500 LЕD microscope was purchased for diagnosis, examination, didactic activity and interpretation of morphopathological results in oral pathology.

Moreover, Professor Elena Costea contributed to the organization of workshops and lectures for students, doctoral students and teaching staff, participation in research activities, publication of scientific articles and organization of mobility for administrative and academic staff as well as for students at the University of Oslo, University of Bergen and University of Tromso.

For her part, Daniela Elena Costea expressed her gratitude for the conferred title, which is a confirmation of a fruitful collaboration with Nicolae Testemitanu University, especially with Pavel Godoroja Department of Dental Propaedeutics and the Department of Pathology. Dr. Daniela Elena Costea announced her intention to carry out new successful projects at the Faculty of Dentistry.

The event took place as part of the Laureate Gala, organized on October 18, 2024 on the occasion of the University Days.
