44 international graduates took the Medical Oath

International graduates enrolled at Nicolae Testemitanu State University of Medicine and Pharmacy of the Republic of Moldova in February 2020, at the Medicine study program, took the Medical Oath. The ceremony was held on December 10, 2025, in the presence of representatives of the University's administrative team, deans, vice-deans, heads of departments, teaching staff, students, parents and friends.
"As of today, you are the ambassadors of Nicolae Testemitanu University in the world! Wherever you are, carefully preserve the name of Alma Mater. You have managed to learn not only medicine, but also to acquire important qualities such as responsibility, passion and empathy. I am proud of each of you", stated First Vice-Rector Olga Cernetchi, Vice-Rector for Teaching and Academic Management, at the inauguration of the celebration.
In turn, Dean of Faculty of Medicine no. 2 Mircea Betiu urged the graduates to move forward with confidence, courage, curiosity, integrity and an open heart. "The university will always be your academic home, where we expect you to return at any time. We, your professors, are proud of your achievements and have confidence in your future," the dean said.
Pavel Chisaru, president of the Association of Medical Students and Residents of Moldova, came with a message of support for his fellow graduates: "Medicine is more than a profession - it is a calling. It requires compassion, integrity, perseverance and determination. Dear graduates, it does not matter in which country you will practice medicine, the most important thing is that you will represent with honor Nicolae Testemitanu State University of Medicine and Pharmacy of the Republic of Moldova. Congratulations!"
The 44 international graduates represent the second class of young people who were enrolled at Faculty of Medicine No. 2 of Nicolae Testemitanu University in February 2020, at the Medicine integrated higher education program, taught in English, and come from India (41), Nigeria (2) and Tunisia (1).
Starting from 2018, the admission of foreign citizens to studies at Nicolae Testemitanu State University of Medicine and Pharmacy is organized twice a year: in spring and autumn.
