Academic Partnership with Shinshu University, Japan

Nicolae Testemitanu State University of Medicine and Pharmacy from the Republic of Moldova will collaborate with the University of Shinshu, Japan, on the segment of academic exchange and scientific research. The two institutions signed a Memorandum of Understanding in this regard on March 2021. The invitation to cooperate came from Japan.

The document provides for the establishment of cooperation in the field of training, research and healthcare through: academic mobility for teachers, PhD students, resident doctors and students, joint research programs, joint organization of meetings, seminars and scientific conferences, exchange of educational and methodological information, familiarization with modern methods of diagnosis and treatment, etc.

Also, during this period, based on the Memorandum, two more agreements have been signed: the first with the Shinshu University School of Medicine - on student exchange, and the second with the Shinshu University School of Medicine and Institute of Biomedical Sciences – on cooperation and exchange in research.

The Memorandum is valid for 5 years. It may be extended provided the parties agree upon.
