A new scheduled supervision mission of quality management system at ”Nicolae Testemitanu” University

”Nicolae Testemitanu” State University of Medicine and Pharmacy of the Republic of Moldova successfully passed the second scheduled surveillance mission of the quality management system (QMS).
On November 28, the external audit opening meeting took place with the participation of chief auditor Vlad Gheorghita, specialist in quality management at the Certind certification company from Bucharest, Romania, Olga Cernetchi, vice-rector for didactic activity and academic management, Victoria Cravet, vice-rector for economic-financial management, Olga Iurco, head of the Internal Audit Department (IAD), Tatiana Novac, head of the Legal Department and the Department of Human Resources, Silvia Ciubrei, head of the Communication and Public Relations Department, and Stela Formusatii, internal auditor, IAD.
The Chief Auditor emphasized that in accordance with the Audit Plan, the scheduled surveillance mission no. 2 aimed to assess the quality management system's compliance with the requirements of the international standard ISO 9001:2015 and the audit criteria, the ability of the QMS to ensure the fulfillment of legal, regulatory and contractual requirements of the organization and the achievement of goals set by the University.
First vice-rector Olga Cernetchi has stated that this year we mark 15 years since the quality management system was implemented by the University, and this fact has only brought us benefits. "We are aware that documents developed according to QMS requirements add value to the institutional image in the process of national and international accreditation and we are grateful that with your help we manage to maintain the quality of all processes and be competitive", prof. Olga Cernetchi pointed out.
Vlad Gheorghita appreciated the sustainability and the way in which the University carries out its activity in all strategic areas, maintains the functionality of the quality management system and continuously improves its infrastructure, applying the requirements of the international standard ISO 9001:2015.
"During my visit to the Faculty of Stomatology, I found that both the infrastructure and the teaching staff are at a very high level, including the training of students and the implementation of scientific concepts for future dentists. As regards the documentation, I noticed that the quality and the way of organization are maintained at an impeccable level, strictly following the requirements of the standard", the expert specified during the summing-up meeting, which took place on November 29.
The expert visited several subdivisions of the Faculty of Stomatology: Pavel Godoroja Chair of Propaedeutics Dentistry, Arsenie Gutan Chair of Oral-Maxillo-Facial Surgery and Implantology, Chair of Orthodontics, Ion Lupan Chair of Pediatric Oral-Maxillo-Facial Surgery and Pedodontics, Dental Technical Laboratory and Dean's Office. The external audit mission included interviews, observation of processes and activities, and analysis of documented information. The chief auditor is to draw up the evaluation report by December 15, which will be presented at the Senate meeting on December 20.
