Nicolae Testemitanu State University of Medicine and Pharmacy of the Republic of Moldova joined the national campaign "16 days of activism against gender violence" with the unifying slogan "Moldova without violence", organizing a series of events with the aim of raising awareness among the university community and society about the intensification of cases of violence, especially digital violence. The actions were carried out between November 25 and December 10, 2025 by representatives of the Department of Forensic Medicine in collaboration with the Association of Medical Students and Residents of Moldova.
The first action carried out within this campaign was the organization, on November 24, of a lecture entitled “Integrated response of the health care system to cases of sexual violence” for international students from the Medicine integrated study program with the participation of the Forensic Medicine Department representatives. The aim of the action was to inform and raise awareness of the audience about the extent of the sexual violence phenomenon, the important role of the doctor in providing an adequate response focused on the victim’s needs, the intervention algorithm and the value of medical evidence in proving crimes related to sexual life. Subsequently, the subject was discussed during a practical activity, where the students were familiarized with the documentation and the sample collection kit. The future doctors simulated the process of genito-anal examination of victims on mannequins provided by UNFPA Moldova and the collection of biological samples using forensic kits.
Students, resident doctors and employees of the University participated in the national manifesto march, held on November 25 in Chisinau, together with representatives of central and local public authorities, international organizations and diplomatic missions, as well as public institutions and civil society. Participants wore a symbolic clothing item in the official color of the Campaign - orange, thus reaffirming the strong commitment to eliminate violence against women and girls.
On November 26, members of the Forensic Medicine Department, residents and forensic doctors from the Center for Forensic Medicine organized a flash mob with the unifying slogan “Moldova without violence”. The participants sent a clear message: “All women, girls and young people have the right to live free from fear and violence both online and in real life.”

The campaign continued on December 4 with two flash mobs entitled "Together we break the circle of violence" and "No excuse for digital violence", organized in front of the Central Teaching Building and Leonid Cobâleanschi Teaching Building No. 1 by a group of local and international students of Nicolae Testemitanu University - members of the AMSR.
An information campaign with the unifying slogan "Moldova without violence" was held in the Central Teaching Building of the University on December 8. Resident doctors from Forensic Medicine distributed leaflets and pinned stickers with information messages to employees and students from various study programs, and the thematic component was "No excuse for digital violence."
On December 10, about 20 students from the Medicine program conducted a study visit to the Family Justice Centre in Chisinau, an integrated service that brings together, in a single space, police officers, doctors, forensic doctors, lawyers, psychologists, social workers and representatives of specialized NGOs. The visit was organized by the Department of Forensic Medicine with the aim of changing attitudes and contributing to combating social stereotypes regarding domestic and gender-based violence, as well as raising awareness of the health system’s role in providing an adequate response to such cases. The students were informed about the importance of recognizing and providing appropriate medical assistance to victims, correctly documenting cases, reporting them and referring victims to specialized service providers.
The Department of Communication and Public Relations publicized all activities through the University's website and pages on social networks (Facebook and Instagram). At the same time, the campaign cover and banners, provided by the National Agency for the Prevention and Combating of Violence against Women and Domestic Violence, were distributed to members of the university community and posted daily on social media, including reels and stories.
