The university 2022 Junior Prom – a gatsby theme party

Retro dresses, tuxedos, feather hats, jazz sounds, colorful big day show! All this created the atmosphere of the University Junior Prom 2022 contest – the most awaited event of medical students, especially those admitted to the first year of studies at Nicolae Testemitanu State University of Medicine and Pharmacy of the Republic of Moldova. The celebration titled A Little Party Never Hurt Nobody took place on October 18. The Cultural Department team of the Association of Medical Students and Residents from Moldova was the organizer of the event.

The University 2022 Junior Prom was inaugurated by Nicolae Testemitanu University rector, Professor Emil Ceban, who greeted the students: "Dear medical students, you are the best high school graduates in the country, we are proud of you, our students, and we hope that you will be the ones who will contribute to the development of the health system".

 Six student teams from all faculties (Medicine No. 1 and No. 2, Stomatology, Pharmacy) and the Public Health study program participated in the competition.

According to the results of the three tests in which the freshmen were evaluated: the presentation, the homework and the ingenuity test, the trophy was handed to students of Faculty of Medicine No. 1 – Victor Sindirinschi and Marisa Svistun. Also, the following teams climbed onto the podium: Victor Rusanovschi and Cristina Gudumac, Faculty of Stomatology (second place), Egor Faurean and Paula Iepure, Faculty of Pharmacy (third place). The fourth place went to the representatives of the Public Health study program – Vlad Pislariuc and Gloria Iliescu, Faculty of Medicine No. 1 – Liviu Tataru and Ecaterina Bahov, and Faculty of Medicine No. 2 – Dreyah Candice Dympep and Chiru Gowda.

Finally, vice-rector for social activity Marcel Abras thanked the students for choosing to study at the best University in the country and congratulated the participants for the courage they showed in the competition, urging them to maintain the same courage throughout their lives, as medicine requires a lot of intelligence and courage.
